Reading Achievement Program
Stevensville Elementary School
April 13th was the first of three distributions of the 2023 Kindles for Kids and happened in the Stevensville
Elementary Gymnasium, home of the mighty Yellowjackets. This assembly was held just for the presentation of
the Kindles to the winners. The Teachers determined who would receive the Kindles. Kindergarten and 1st-grade
teachers were challenged with the arduous task of selecting students who put forth the most effort in learning.
These students stand out by working extra hard on their reading skills. 2nd through 5th-grade champions earned
their Kindles by reading and taking Accelerated Reader quizzes. This competition was decided by the points
accumulated during February and March. The winner’s total points spread from 40 to 803! Worshipful Master
Jack Anderson and Past Master Russ McCormick represented the Lodge.
