Hedges were also among the charter members of the Grand
Chapter of Royal Arch Masons, when it was organized in the
early summer of 1891. He was chosen Grand Secretary at the
organizational meeting and served in that capacity until his death.
He also received the Order of High Priesthood in 1896.473
