The Grandmasters jewel
This jewel is presented as a gift to the Grand Lodge during its 106th Annual Communication by Worshipful Brother Robert H. Klotzman, Past Master of Delta Lodge No. 128, in memory of his mother, father and sister - Theresa Primes, Daniel Moses and Norma Dorothy. It was presented with the admonition that it be presented in turn by each Grand Master to his successor upon installation. Most Worshipful Brother Elmer R. Fleshman, elected Grand Master on June 24th, 1972, was the first to wear this beautiful memorial jewel.
The Grandmasters emblem contains 5 troy ounces of 14 kt. yellow gold. The emblem is round frame measuring 105mm in diameter. The square and compass are hand engraved and the leaf wreath overlay on the outer perimeter is hand carved and hand engraved.
The center is an emerald cut diamond weighing approximately 4.75 carats, light yellow color with a clarity of two. 14 baguette diamonds, graduating from 0.08 to 0.18 carats each are set in a handmade bezel mounting. The reverse side commemorating the presentation to Grand Lodge is hand engraved. We are most grateful to brother Klotzman for this most beautiful and generous gift.
