Carl L. Brattin was born on 16 March 1887 Th e same year, he served as Grand Master;

C. L. Brattin was one of the Sidney National Bank
founders and was a Stockholder and Director serving from
the founding date 8 December 1916 into the 1960s.
Carl Brattin was a Montana Delegate to the 1924 and
1928 Republican National Convention.
Brattin was also a member of the Kiwanis Club in Sidney
and fi rst president and later held the offi ce of District
Governor in 1932.
Beginning in 1938, he served on the Advisory Board for
Shodair Hospital for Children in Helena.
In January 1947, Carl Brattin associated with Otto T.
Habedank and retired from activity in the fi rm in February
1958.
Brother Brattin received his Masonic degrees in Lower
Yellowstone Lodge No. 90 at Sidney, Montana. He was
raised to the sublime degree of a Master Mason on 13
August 1913 and served as Worshipful Master in 1921.
Aft er Brother Brattin served on several appointed offi ces
in the Grand Lodge line and was elected Junior Grand
Warden in 1927, in 1930, he was elected as Most Worshipful
Grand Master of Masons in Montana.
